🧩 The three ways to define your plan
When creating content on Wisewand, you have access to three options to structure your article:
⚡Generate automatically — Wisewand analyzes your topic and creates an SEO-optimized plan in a few minutes.
📥Import a plan — Already have a structure? Import it directly to save time.
✍️Write manually — Start from a blank page and build your plan title by title, choosing the number of H2 and H3 under each H2.
💡 Whatever option you choose, you can always modify the generated plan before starting the writing process.
⚙️ How to generate a plan automatically
To automatically generate a plan on Wisewand, follow these steps:
When creating your article, go to the Plan section.
Click Fill automatically.
Check or modify the article title if needed.
Configure your preferences, for example by enabling Restrict sources if you want to limit references used.
Click Generate plan.
Wait about two minutes for the plan to be generated.
⚠️ Plan generation usually takes around two minutes. Do not close the page during this process.
🔍 Understanding and editing your generated plan
Once the plan is generated, you will see the full structure of your article, organized into headings and subheadings:
H1 = the main title of your article (must contain your primary keyword)
H2 = the main sections of your article
H3 = subsections inside each H2
You can edit every element of the plan directly in the interface:
Modify a title
Rewrite an H3
Reorganize sections
Everything is editable before launching content generation.

🤖 What happens if you generate an article without defining a plan
If you choose to generate an article fully automatically without going through the plan step, Wisewand still creates an optimized plan in the background.
However, you won’t be able to modify it before generation.

💡 Tips for an effective plan
✅ Make sure your H1 contains your main keyword.
✅ Keep each H2 focused on a single clear topic to improve readability.

💡 If you’re targeting a long article, plan 4 to 6 H2 sections for a good balance between depth and readability.
