🧩 Creating a Product Comparison with Affiliation Mode

Wisewand’s Affiliation mode lets you generate complete comparison articles between two products — ideal for affiliate sites, tech blogs, or any purchase-focused content.

This guide walks you step by step through configuring and launching your comparison article.

📋 Before You Start

Before generating your article, prepare the following:

  • The names of the two products you want to compare (e.g., iPhone 17 vs Samsung Galaxy S25)

  • One or more reliable source URLs

  • Your affiliate links and promo codes (if applicable)

  • The target project and persona inside Wisewand

🧭 Step 1: Access Affiliation Mode — Compare X or Y

Go to the Affiliation section in Wisewand and select Compare X or Y mode.

This opens the configuration form for your comparison article.

🏷️ Step 2: Enter the Products to Compare

In the Product 1 and Product 2 fields, enter each product’s full name.

For each product, you can also add:

  • Customer review links (Amazon, marketplaces, etc.) — Wisewand extracts key insights from them

  • Affiliate links with custom anchor text

  • Promo codes and discount percentages

These elements will automatically be integrated into your article.

🔗 Step 3: Configure Your Sources

In the Sources field, paste the URL(s) you want Wisewand to use as references. You can add multiple links.

💡 Tip: Enable Restrict sources if you want Wisewand to rely only on the URLs you provided.

If disabled, Wisewand will also search Google for additional relevant information.

🌍 Step 4: Choose Language and Target Country

Select the writing language and the country you’re targeting. This ensures your content matches local context and search results.

⚠️ Example: Writing in French for Belgium will generate content tailored to Belgian search results and regional specifics. Always match language + country to your real audience.

🎯 Step 5: Define Target Query and Writing Instructions

Enter your target SEO query (e.g., iPhone 17 vs Samsung S25).

You can use auto-fill to let Wisewand suggest a relevant keyword.

You can also define:

  • Writing priorities — what to highlight (e.g., focus on value for money)

  • Things to avoid — topics or brands that must not be mentioned

🧱 Step 6: Customize the Article Outline

Wisewand automatically generates a structured outline. You can edit it before generation:

  • Add or remove sections (H2)

  • Add subsections (H3)

  • Adjust section length

💡 Leaving length on Automatic usually gives the most natural results.

✨ Step 7: Enable Content and Formatting Options

Wisewand includes multiple enrichment features:

🖼️ Step 8: Configure Visuals

Wisewand can generate different types of visuals:

  • Cover image — main featured image (custom colors possible)

  • Infographics — comparison visuals

  • Realistic photos — AI-generated product-style images

⚠️ Each generated image consumes credits, so select only what you need.

🎬 Step 9: Add Multimedia and Interactive Elements

You can activate additional features:

  • YouTube video automatically embedded

  • Interactive widget generated based on content

  • Audio summary (~1 minute) included in the article

🔍 Step 10: Configure Internal Linking

If enabled, Wisewand can:

  • Link to other Wisewand-generated articles

  • Scan your site to find relevant internal pages

  • Use a custom list of links you provide

  • Connect to your WordPress site to fetch posts

💡 If your site isn’t topically related, you can safely disable this option.

📤 Step 11: Choose Publishing Destination

In the Publishing section, select where your article should go:

  • Draft — sent to your site but not publicly visible

  • Published — posted immediately

You can also choose the project, persona, and audio voice (if enabled).

🚀 Step 12: Generate the Article

Click Generate once everything is configured. Wisewand will create the full article automatically.

After generation, you can review, edit, copy, share, or publish it directly.

✅ Most comparison articles generated by Wisewand are 2,000–2,500 words and include all enabled features: summary box, tables, visuals, FAQ, and more.

💡 Tips for Best Results

  • Use high-quality sources for more accurate content

  • Restrict sources only when you have a trusted reference

  • Always match language + country to your audience

  • Use auto-fill strategically (limited uses)

  • Always proofread before publishing, even with high-quality AI output

If you want, I can also create a short version, a documentation version, or a UI tooltip version of this guide depending on where you plan to use it (help center, onboarding, popup, etc.).
